The Clinical Department provides crisis stabilization, assessment, and long and short-term therapy to restore strength and a sense of safety to individuals and their families above the age of three who experience sexual violence. As all sexual violence happens in relationship, we are aware that healing also needs to happen in relationship. To this end, in addition to individual and family therapy, Solace believes in the incorporation of other modalities of holistic healing.
Solace’s clinical team uses cognitive behavioral therapy, systemic family therapy, Trauma-focused CBT, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, Trauma Resiliency Model, mindfulness-based stress reduction, Somatic Experiencing, Somatic Touch, Lifespan Integration, and art therapy. Our services are delivered with cultural and racial awareness and humility.

We use evidence-based service models and deliver all our services by applying the principles of trauma-informed care. Our clinicians are all licensed by the State of New Mexico as social workers or counselors.
Because so many sexual assault survivors have experienced multiple assaults at different ages, our counselors teach clients ways to prevent further victimization without victim-blaming. We strive grow the awareness that intervention is prevention; breaking cycles of sexual violence.
Solace’s comprehensive program of clinical services are available at no-cost to children and adult victims of sexual abuse, stalking, teen dating violence and sex trafficking.
