Voices for Change: Standing Against Sexual Violence

In 2025, reported sexual assault cases in northern New Mexico increased nearly 17.74% over the previous year. This number is expected to rise in 2026.

 

Sexual violence and child abuse leave survivors and their families facing long-term trauma, destabilizing the well-being of our entire community. The need for a united response has never been more urgent.

​

This November, Solace Sexual Assault Services will partner with the City of Santa Fe; First Judicial District Attorney’s Office; Santa Fe Police Department; Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program; Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office; and New Mexico Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs to host Voices for Change: Standing Against Sexual Violence.

This vital symposium will be held November 19, from 8:00am-5:00pm, at the Santa Fe Convention Center. We will turn shared knowledge into coordinated action—strengthening our community’s response, supporting survivors, and advancing justice by holding perpetrators accountable. Together, we can ensure that safety, healing, and justice are more than ideals, they can become realities for every survivor of sexual assault and child abuse in our community.
