​Why this Summit Matters.

 

Sexual violence and child abuse continue to rise in Santa Fe. In 2025 alone, reported sexual assault cases rose nearly 18% over the previous year, with further increases expected. These crimes—ranging from lack of consent to sexual assault and child abuse leave survivors and families facing long-term trauma and destabilize the wellbeing of our community.

 

This fall, Solace Sexual Assault Services (Solace SAS), in partnership with the City of Santa Fe, the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office, the Santa Fe Police Department, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Program, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, and the New Mexico Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs (NMCSAP) will host “Voices for Change, Standing Against Sexual Violence”, at the Santa Fe Convention Center, November 19, 2026, from 8:00am-5:00pm.

 

Professionals, advocates, survivors, educators, healthcare providers, and community members will come together to explore collaborative solutions to sexual violence and child abuse. The summit unites each organization to help strengthen responses to issues that affect public safety, public health, and community wellbeing.
