For over 53 years, Solace Sexual Assault Services has been a full-service sexual assault services provider for our neighbors in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba and Los Alamos Counties. Our mission is to provide compassionate services to survivors of sexual violence while working to end sexual violence through therapy, advocacy, education, and prevention.  The services of Solace are offered free of charge with bilingual therapists available. We are committed to being a vital resource for healing and hope in our community.

Position Summary:

​

The Psychotherapists at Solace provide evidence-based treatment and complex trauma psychotherapy treatment to children above the age of three, adolescents, and adults who experienced sexual violence, as well as to non-offending family members, guardians and other close supporters.  Our clinical team uses a variety of modalities to address traumatic experiences, such as Mindfulness, Somatic work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), The Social Resiliency Model (SRM), Lifespan Integration (LI), and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI). We offer care rooted in cultural understanding and respect for racial, cultural, and social differences. ​Our clinicians are all licensed by the State of New Mexico.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Psychotherapist at Solace include:

​

1. Providing therapy for survivors of sexual violence, non-offending family members, partners, guardians or loved ones (aged 3 and above).

2. Providing emergency/crisis intervention.

3. Employing strategies of intervention that are evidence-based, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate.

4. Working closely with the Solace Clinical Team members to identify the needs of clients and their support systems.

5. Completing required administrative tasks that protect the confidential nature of our work along with adhering to state and federal policies and procedures.

6. Overseeing the waitlist by contacting clients, offering support through appropriate interventions and psychoeducation, and providing information about Solace’s group services. Contribute to additional key tasks that support the Clinical Department’s workflow and promote the wellbeing of survivors.

7. Participate in individual supervision, group supervision and in bi-weekly Spanish consultations, all to promote the supportive team environment that we at Solace have as a daily goal.

 

Salary and Benefits:

$55,000 - $60,000 - DOE

Required Qualifications to join the Solace team:

1. Master’s degree in counseling, social work or related field.

2. NM Licensure as LMHC, LPC, LPCC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT.

3. Experience using evidence-based modes of therapy.

4. Ability to work with clients from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.  Bi-lingual competency in Spanish/English (preferred). 

5. Ability to serve clients with compassion, demonstrating the belief that they are the experts in their own healing with strong professional boundaries.

6. You must pass the CYFD Childcare background clearance and complete the US DOJ-OJP OVCTACC on-line Victims Advocacy Training (VAT) and CYFD Trauma Informed Training within 90 days of hire.

7. You must be computer literate in Windows-based applications.
