Eve Picher was born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, in 1974, and was introduced to water-colour by her father at ten. She began using oil painting in her teens and eventually received four years of training in drawing and painting with the artists Francine Labelle and Yves Durand. She has been painting steadily for more then twenty years and has exhibited in Canada and the United States. She has studied Fine Arts at Bishop University (Canada), Concordia University (Canada), Adams State University (Colorado) and the University of New Mexico. She is presently completing her BFA at the Institute of American Indian Arts, in Santa Fe.
